The first part of the book is called Understanding Scale-Ups. There are two chapters. One about what it is to be a CFO in a Scale-Up, and that about more than just numbers. The other chapter in this first part zooms in on your role as a strategic partner.
The second part is about Scaling, and how to do that the smart way. It starts with a look at how to master financial strategy for growth. Then we move on to risk management which, in a Scale-Up is not just about reducing risk, it is about turning threats into opportunities
Block three deals with data, and how to become a Data driven CFO. What does it take to make data work for you. Everybody talks a lot about data-driven decision making, but how do you realy achieve decision intelligence. And the second part of this third block talks about automation & AI. What can CFOs do to lever technology for scale
Where part 2 talks about Scaling Smart, in this fourth section of the book, we zoom in on how to effectively Scale your Operations. And how to do that without breaking the bank. We discuss process excellence and how the CFO can become the architect of efficiency. Not just in Finance, but company wide, touching on all relevant end-to-end processes
Then we move on and start talking about Leadership. What is your role as CFO when it comes to talent management and team growth. You must keep momentum, drive change and be the transformative leader that Scale-Ups need their CFO to be. How do you do that?
